Mocha Meet-Ups

These 30-minute monthly meetings are for parents only. Held at revolving coffee shop locations, meetings are designed for parents to network, share strategies and ask questions of Julie. Each meeting features a facilitated discussion on a topic pertaining specifically to special education. Past discussions have included: understanding special education lingo, transition planning, tips for a successful IEP meeting, discussions of various disabilities, understanding special education laws, how to communicate effectively with schools. As the objective is to expand and create community, attendance is free for those who bring a friend.
